Notes:- The above tables show how many Masters degrees were conferred for the given academic years
- Degrees and certificates are awarded monthly; an academic year is defined here to be July-June
- For each category (e.g. Male), the percentage shown is the percentage of the total degrees/certificates conferred for the group
- "MElapTTD" is short for Median Elapsed Time To Degree; elapsed time to degree is defined here as the time, in years, from the start of a student's first term in the specific graduate program (regardless of initial degree objective) until the degree conferral
- "MEnrlTTD" is short for Median Enrolled Time To Degree; enrolled time to degree is defined here as the number of years a student was registered as a graduate student from the first term in the specific graduate program (regardless of initial degree objective) through the latest term that started before the degree conferral date; semesters are counted as one-half of a year, quarters are counted as one-third of a year, and summer terms are not counted (the University of Minnesota switched from quarters to semesters Fall 1999)
- Gender is self-reported and optional, so males+females may not equal the total
- "International" means students who are not citizens or permanent residents
- "Minority" includes citizens and permanent residents of African-American, Asian-American, Hispanic/Chicano/Latino, American Indian, and Hawaiian ethnicity
- Ethnicity is self-reported
